We are hobby breeders interested in the preservation, health and temperament of French Bulldogs. All of our litters are registered through the American Kennel Club. Although we are just beginning in the journey of breeding, we have owned Frenchies since 2009. We fell in love with French Bulldogs when we met our very first Frenchie in a pet shop in June of 2009. We named him Jean Pierre; he had a very large personality and was the most loyal, loving and cuddly puppy we’d ever met. As time went on, we learned that he was bred through a breeder who was in it for quantity over quality. When Jean Pierre began developing multiple health issues due to poor breeding, we continually discussed a way for us to ensure quality breeding in our personal, future puppies. We decided to get a little brother for Jean Pierre, this time from a breeder, not a pet shop. We named him Marceau and although he was from a quality breeder, we found he had a few issues and decided against breeding him. This motivated us to begin looking for a quality little girl to start our small breeding program. Our search led us to Clotilde. After monitoring her health for two years, we decided that she was the quality Frenchie that we wanted as we began our journey to producing litters. To honor Jean Pierre's memory, we became Jean Pierre's L'Acadien Frenchies LLC. We breed as a labor of love. Our goal is to produce quality fur-babies for families to love.
All of the Frenchies that are part of our breeding program are members of our fur-family. We maintain a healthy and happy lifestyle for our Frenchie-moms and dads, they are free roaming and a very big part of our family. We do not cage or kennel any of our Frenchies. I cannot say enough how much we love the French Bulldog breed. We simply do this to ensure quality French Bulldogs, not to line our pockets with cash. As a matter of fact, most breeders produce three litters with each Frenchie-mom, our goal is to limit each one to two litters.
Playful, loyal, and loving, Frenchies require minimal grooming and exercise. A French Bulldog Puppy is totally adaptable to any living space whether it be an apartment in the city, a country house, or anything in between. French Bulldogs are a short-nosed (brachycephalic) breed. This means that they have a low tolerance for heat, humidity, and too much exercise. French Bulldogs need to be kept cool in hot weather, preferably in an air-conditioned space. They’re not the most athletic pups and are perfectly happy with daily walks and maybe a little outdoor play time. They can be the best companion for anyone; singles, families with kids, couples. French Bulldogs are not big on barking, but they can be a little territorial when it comes to visitors knocking on the door. Generally speaking, that’s where it ends; don’t expect them to be aggressive or to be a great guard dog. Frenchies are eager to please and they definitely enjoy being the center of attention. While they are phenomenal fur-babies, no one breed is perfect, there are some things to keep in mind. Frenchies have earned a reputation for being stubborn so keep in mind, as with all puppies, it does take patience to train them. Patience, consistency, and the proper motivation (treats) will ensure that you and your Frenchie will meet with success. Have fun together and turn training into a game! THEY SNORE…sometimes loudly. Whether it’s annoying, amusing, or oddly comforting depends on your tolerance and sense of humor. Your Frenchie’s jaws are REALLY POWERFUL. Choose indestructible toys for your French Bulldog and expect a really vigorous game of tug-of-war. Although you can pry those jaws open if necessary, they will hold on to the target and may tear it apart. In short, when considering a French Bulldog for your family be sure to know any pet is a lifetime commitment, but there is no journey like that of having a Frenchie to love.

We believe in strong bonds and that those who take a French Bulldog puppy into their family be knowledgeable of the breed. We prefer to keep in touch with all our litters' families and build a bond they can trust. We will provide the knowledge and experiences we have with Frenchies and will be a resource you and your family can contact at any time. If you are local, we will even offer to puppy sit your Frenchie.
As we do not produce more than two litters from our Frenchie-moms, on average we will produce one litter a year. This will potentially change depending on the case-by-case basis of available Frenchie-moms. As with any FAQ on this page, feel free to contact me directly if you require detailed information.
We price our puppies with other breeders pricing in mind, most of the time prices depend on coat color and pattern. We do not undercut any breeders who breed quality, we also do not breed to engorge our pockets. We will certainly provide fair pricing no matter what.
Unfortunately, we do not allow potential clients to our place of business, as a precaution for the health of the litter. We do not expose our puppies to the public, in order to prevent virus and bacteria exposure. We will post all necessary information as well as constant picture updates, so stay tuned to the Facebook page as well as our website.
The average release time for a French Bulldog puppy is generally 8-10 weeks, this is important for socializing your new fur-baby. Socializing is extremely important because it has a direct relation to the puppy's temperament. Generally, our goal is to provide a puppy who is well adapted for multiple pet families, single dog families or families with cats.
